Shoot and Share Contest Results!

August 10, 2017

It has been a while since I’ve posted and I promise I’ll tell you why once I get everything organized and in order. But, for now, I wanted to let you all know about the Shoot and Share Contest! This contest has been so much fun (and SO addicting) to vote in. Most of my co-workers ended up addicted to voting as well! We enjoyed all the images of doggies, goats, brides & grooms, and the amazing places that people have been! I spend hours voting for images from my fellow photographers around the world and saw my images maybe 5 times. I enjoyed looking through everyone’s work and wishing that I could visit some of the places in the “Wanderlust” categories (Seriously! Go check out the category! You’ll start a very long bucket list of places you need to go!)!

Finalist

But guess what!! It ended up that people loved my photos and I became a finalist with one image, in the top 20 and 30% for two of my other images! I’m pretty proud that out of over 700,000 images and my 50 images my photos did very well!!

As you may or may not know my husband and I are avid piano players. We love playing the piano and playing the piano with Aspen!
This image was taken on Christmas day 2015. Aspen was crawling around and LOVED pounding on the piano. So we lifted her up and she set her hands on the keys and I snapped this shot. Then she proceeded to pound on the keys and have so much fun doing it 🙂

Top 30%

During this stylized shoot I was talking with Josh and telling him about my schooling and how I needed to get a few specific shots for homework. He told me he was happy to help me out so that I could get my homework done! So once I saw this beautiful Bridal Suite down a hall at Copper Creek Event Center, looked at Josh and said “Frame within a frame?” he immediately pulled Kelsie over and I was able to get this beautiful shot of the two of them in the Bridal Suite!

Top 20%

This beautiful image was taken at the same Stylized Shoot as the one above it! Copper Creek Event Center is a beautiful center full of large windows that allow lots of natural light which, in my opinion, is such an important part of bridal images! This beautiful light flooded this room and helped create this beautiful shot!

I am more and more thankful every day for this talent that I have and my ability to share it with you!! Thank you to all those who voted in the contest and especially those who voted for my images! You all are so amazing!!

Love, jesi
